With this being one of the first blogs I’ve ever written, I can only hope it will go as smooth as possible.

I’ll admit, I was feeling a little characterless, and decided to Google a subject to blog about. It shouldn’t be that hard to think of a topic on my own, this I already know. But when put on the spot, my brain tends to shut down.

I came across a list entitled “100 Blog/Podcast Topics I Hope YOU Write”, and the number nine stuck out. Not only is nine my favourite number, but ironically enough number nine’s listed title was “How I Find Blogging Ideas”.

Well, in case you didn’t catch on in the second sentence, my secret has already been given away: GOOGLE, RESEARCH and WRITE.

GOOGLE. Oh how you do wonders. You supply a search engine for images, videos, maps, news, books, gmail and the web. I know, there are a lot more features and functions to Google, that’s more than enough to understand Google is GREAT!

RESEARCH. Many assume that the internet provides valuable information on every subject, but if that was the case, my job would be easier and life’s simplest questions would be answered much faster. Reading other blogs in your niche and scrutinizing them is, for me, the most crucial part to finding a topic that will be innovative and a great online competitor.  If you come across a matter that has little to no substance, CONTINUE DEVELOPING THE CONTENT and examine the heck out of it, don’t get lazy and give up on it. Just remember, if you’re searching for the content, the chances that someone else is also searching it are pretty high.

WRITE. This is easy. Write less, write with a passion, and be consistent with your style. Litter the post with key words, and like Lee Brice’s “Love Like Crazy”, I’m going to say, “Link like crazy!”

With that being said, I guess I can take a little bit of my own advice for the next blog.
