Low GI Meals was established to combat the obesity epidemic and to help those with diabetes. Their aim is to education people and help them adopt a healthy lifestyle through low GI Nutrition and Fitness.

Challenge

As an e-commerce site, we needed to find a way to ensure that we could generate sales for the Low GI cook books. The girls at Low GI wanted to really educate the public so when creating their Website, we took this into account.

Solution

As educating the public and potential customers was key to the clients, we incorporated a custom blog right on the homepage of the site. The blog allows the clients to post links, articles, videos, and other educational information with ease. The Quick Prep PowerPoint Presentation was also added right to the navigation of the site as well, providing more educational content for potential customers to read.

As an e-commerce Website, the client's have the ability to upload images of their products right into their shopping cart. Customers can order directly from the custom shopping cart by providing their credit card information and mailing address. The back end of the site allows the clients to see all of the orders in an easy to read/use manner. The site is all about educating, but selling cook books is the revenue model.

For search engine purposes, key words can be inserted into META tags within the back end of the site. Of course, the blog allows for tags to be inserted to every post.
